"Ma-Ma" and then a tantrum...

This is a cute little video showcasing Sasha's first word, "Ma-Ma", how she is mastering the art of jumping and is that a little tantrum? I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.

NO!

It's been quite a while since I have posted to my blog but as I was thinking about my blog I realized the value of this wonderful tool. It seems like my pregnancy was so long ago, so visiting my previous posts and seeing the venture we have been on over the past year is remarkable! Going from a little baby bump to a 7 month old in what seems like such a short period of time is mind-blowing. And as I ease back into posting to my blog, I have the perfect video to share. I was feeding Sasha dinner last night and as I brought the spoon to her mouth, this is what she did...

I cannot believe how quickly they learn to say no.

37 Weeks

We just came back from our weekly doctor's appointment only to find out we are being induced today! We had to get some final belly shots before she is born to capture the size of my belly. I guess you could say we are scared, overwhelmed and excited all at once. The next post will be to announce her arrival. How exciting!

36 Weeks

Today we had our 36th week doctor’s appointment. I cannot believe it is only 3 ½ weeks until my due date! The doctor said everything looks great. She also informed me of the many early signs of labor and when to contact the hospital. That was a reality check. :) She estimated Baby Khoury to be about 6 ½ pounds and very long! We know she does not get that from me. Thanks to Alex, our little girl has a chance at long legs and not having to get all her pants hemmed. The doctor said she is in a pike position with her head down, bum in my right upper abdomen and feet in my left middle abdomen. Too cute! Also, the nursery is shaping up. Alex painted the room, the crib has arrived and the dresser is on its way. We were also able to bring the beautiful cradle back from Boston that my parents lent to us. It is the cradle my grandmother had made for my younger brothers and sister. My dad waxed and cleaned the wood and my Mom handmade amazing bedding. If you were at the shower, you may have seen it there. But do not worry if you were not, I will take some shots of the nursery so everyone can see it. It is breathtaking. Now, if I only had my OCD sister to help me organize everything. :) We have a doctor’s appointment every week now so we will keep you posted.

30 Weeks

Today we had our 30th week doctor's appointment. Everything went well and the doctor said Baby Khoury is right on track. We cannot believe there is only 9 weeks or so until we get to meet our new little one! We are quite excited! This week we also ordered Baby Khoury's crib and dresser. Now we just have to get Daddy to paint the nursery which has not been an easy task. :)
Baby Khoury moves all day long and she is starting to do flips in my stomach. Sometimes her movements take my breath away or make me giggle because they tickle. :) Our next doctor's appointment is in 3 weeks so we will post another update then. We miss all of you!

Let's Try This Again: It's a...

girl and we could not be happier! It was so exciting to see her much bigger and moving around. You could tell she was sleeping before the sonogram and we woke her up. She kept putting her hands in front of her face and yawning! There is a sonogram picture below of her with her mouth open from the yawn. The other picture is a close up of her face and hands. She has a cute little face with big eyes, a cute nose (which she seems to have grown into) and a prominent little chin. We cannot wait to meet her! Now it is time to get her room in order before she arrives! These photos are from our Second Trimester Screening, which we will get the results of at our next doctor's appointment Thursday, January 15th. We will be sure to keep you posted!
